This online course is for people who work with people with disability, including their managers and supervisors to increase their skills and knowledge in the prevention of and response to abuse and assault.

Course Overview

For individual learners undertaking the course in this format, we highly recommend being mindful of the potential impact the material can have. We recommend learners make themselves aware of support services available should they find the material distressing in any way.

This course covers essential information for the prevention of abuse and assault and how to appropriately respond to abuse and assault including:

  • Current legislation including human rights;
  • Types of abuse, assault and risk of harm;
  • Indicators of abuse, assault and risk of harm;
  • Reporting requirements including the difference between children, young people and adults; and
  • Supporting alleged victims.

This online course is for people who work with people with disability, including their managers and supervisors to increase their skills and knowledge in the prevention of and response to abuse and assault.

Individual access: $49.50 including GST for 12 months.
