Flyer clarifies complaints processes for Victorian providers

Close up of a person holding a clip board and pen

The Victorian Disability Worker Commission, with the Victorian Office of the Disability Services Commissioner, have developed a new flyer to help consumers understand where to direct their complaints about Victorian disability services. The flyer can be downloaded, with other resources, from the Commission’s complaints webpage

The flyer clarifies the roles of:

  • the Victorian Disability Worker Commission, which manages complaints about disability workers in Victoria
  • the Disability Services Commissioner, which manages complaints about DFFH- and TAC-funded disability services
  • the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, which manages complaints about NDIS-funded supports and services.

NDS acknowledges the complex regulatory environment of disability services, which can make it confusing for people wishing to make a complaint. We hope this flyer will help people find the right authority.

Complaints provide valuable feedback and help build a safer, stronger disability sector. NDS has developed a range of practical resources for organisations to set up robust complaint management systems
