With an ambitious reform agenda set by the Disability Royal Commission and the NDIS Review, the 2023–24 Annual Price Review (APR), released on 25 January, comes at a pivotal time for the sector.  

Data from our State of the Disability Sector Report shows the disability sector at breaking point, with providers reporting their worst financial year ever. More organisations are running a deficit and far fewer are breaking even. Without price increases that reflect the true costs of delivering quality and safe disability supports the risk of market failure will become a reality.
