CEO update: Greater certainty needed for sector in financial crisis

The NDIS reform process is well underway as NDS is kept busy with roundtable meetings and policy submissions. Yet, as we fast approach the Federal Budget, much remains uncertain. Many providers, looking with concern at their own 2024–25 budgets, need answers sooner rather than later. 

With key elements of reform still to be revealed — such as the outcomes from the provider registration taskforce and the process for independently setting prices, as recommended by the NDIS Review — NDS is concerned that, come 14 May, we will not hear from the Treasurer the major commitments that will give us greater certainty.
