NDS has released the preliminary program for the Disability at Work Conference at the QT Canberra on Wednesday 12 July. 

This year’s conference, entitled Creating a Vision for Disability Employment, will be a one-day live event examining innovative ways to inspire and engage people with disability in employment in an uncertain economy. It is aimed at all employment service providers — open, supported, transition-to-work and social enterprises — as well as professionals and people interested in the design and promotion of sustainable employment for people with disability. 

The conference will provide CEOs, senior and middle managers and employment services providers from around the country valuable opportunities to network, including a pre-conference function.  

The program features presentations by expert and lived-experience speakers on: 

• The future of disability employment: Improving quality, participant satisfaction, innovative and enhanced service delivery and employment outcomes 
• Government policy directions and reforms for disability employment   
• Stimulating employer confidence and demand for employees with disability 
• Defining Social Enterprise in Australia 
• The features of a comprehensive Vision for Disability Employment.
