Theâ¯ACT Budget 2023-24, announced on Tuesday 27 June, prioritises health and housing, while introducing measures aimed at easing cost of living pressures for Canberrans. While the ACT Government plans a disability strategy, there is no direct funding for disability attached. Funding to relieve housing and cost-of-living pressures will be welcomed by NDIS participants but, overall, NDS is disappointed that measures we have lobbied for have not been recognised.Â
The government also announced significant investment on a range of large-scale infrastructure projects.Â
