National Disability Services (NDS) is conducting a survey to gather information about how organisations and individuals, across Australia, are using the NDS Zero Tolerance resources.

Built around a national, evidence-based framework, Zero Tolerance is an initiative led by NDS in partnership with the disability sector. It assists disability service providers to understand, implement and improve practices, which safeguard the rights of people they support.

A number of high quality training resources have been developed over recent years including:

• Human Rights and You e-learning  
• Understanding Abuse e-learning
• The ‘Understanding Abuse’ Learning Bites
• NDS Empowerment Circle
• Positive Cultures Films
• Recognising Restrictive Practice Films
• Trauma Informed Support Films
• Responding to Abuse Films
• Safeguarding for Boards Films

If your organisation uses any of the Zero Tolerance films or other resources as part of staff induction, staff training or in meetings, we encourage you to provide feedback.

We are particularly interested in any positive outcomes that may have occurred as a result of using the films to promote conversations and reflective practice.  This could be improvements in organisational culture, a change in staff attitudes, better understanding of certain areas of practice etc.

More than one person from any organisation can complete the survey so please forward this email to anyone who has used or is aware of the Zero Tolerance framework and associated resources.
