What you need to know

  • The Queensland University of Technology and NDS are collaborating on a study of work-related violence in disability accommodation.
  • This is to better understand how to ensure quality of service, respect for human rights and workforce safety.
  • In a short online survey, we ask workers in disability accommodation to share their experiences of work-related violence and the safety management systems in their workplaces.

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is working in collaboration with National Disability Services to understand and prevent work-related violence within the residential disability sector. The project is funded by WorkSafe Victoria.

As part of this study, the research team are seeking the perspectives of workers in disability accommodation. They invite them to participate in a 10 to 15 minute confidential online survey on their experiences with work-related violence and the safety management systems in their workplaces.

We ask disability accommodation providers to encourage their workers to take part.

To find out more information about the study and to complete the survey, go to the survey page on the QUT website.
