As requested by members, NDS is pleased to announce another Community of Practice to address important issues with the new wage and classification structure in the Supported Employment Services (SES) Award. On Friday 31 March, an online Community of Practice will examine how to apply the new classification structure before it comes into effect on 1 July.

Employers will need to classify all employees who are covered by the SES Award (including support staff) under the new classification structure. Members have been concerned about the classification’s complexity, especially for employees with disability. They were also concerned about how the new structure fits with their industrial relations obligations.
