NDS presses NDIA on pricing of high intensity behavioural support

Three people in a business meeting looking serious

The recently updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2024–25 (PAPL) has had widespread impacts for providers.

In a careless move, the new PAPL redefined High Intensity Supports, effectively removing the ability to claim for high intensity behavioural supports.

NDS is aware that this issue crosses over pricing and regulation of the market. In re-certification audits over the last six months or more, providers have only been approved for 0104 High Intensity Daily Personal Activities where they met the criteria for Module 1, High Intensity Daily Personal Activities. The intent is to ensure the 0104 line item is only used for high intensity health supports, such as complex bowel care. Assessment against high intensity behavioural supports has not been a part of the more recent audit process.
